The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Quantitative Imaging Biomarkers Alliance (QIBA) has established a working group to develop a Profile for the radiology and clinical trial community regarding the quantitative measurement of tau PET imaging. Tau, one of the two hallmark abnormal proteins in Alzheimer’s disease, can now be imaged in the living brain using positron emission tomography. The mission of the Tau PET profile group is to develop guidelines for image acquisition and measurement necessary to minimize measurement variability, toward improving clinical interpretability and clinical trial planning and execution. Dawn Matthews of ADMdx and Dr. Tammie Benzinger of Washington University are serving as Co-Chairs.
